This past weekend, Gnomie ran 10 miles, which isn't very far for a gnome but is a mighty frightful distance for most. Afterward, he attended the Patient Honoree Potluck to hear the stories of how Team in Training and the Leukemia & Lymphoma society has affected the lives of current and past blood cancer patients.

Gnomie Says:
Ay, oi love de trees meself. An' de butterflies, they are delightful!

Gnome Fact: A gnome's cap, made from felt, is solid from its tip to the top of the head. A gnome never removes the cap, except perhaps while sleeping or bathing, though it has yet to be proven.

Gnomie Hits New Milestone

Gnomie ran with mentor Jayme this week. The 8 mile course ran along Crescent Rim, with the only obstacle for his short little legs, besides the obvious...dogs, cars, bikes, and generally anything larger than him, being the hill up Americana. The cement course, being foreign to gnomes in general who live in gardens or forests, posed somewhat of a challenge for the long course, but Mentor Jayme reported that Gnomie soldiered on and was impressed by his grit and determination.

Gnomie Says:
Naw 'ill 'ill best me. Unless t'be sure it does.

Gnome Fact: The feet of gnomes are slightly turned inward for fast running over grass, dry leaves etc. Not pavement.
